BSF foils cross-border smuggling attempts; Heroin, opium, and pistol parts recovered
Ferozepur, July 6, 2025: In the last 24 hours, the dutiful BSF troops seized a packet of heroin and parts of a pistol in two separate incidents.
Last evening, based on information, a search operation launched by the BSF troops led to the recovery of one packet of suspected heroin (Gross weight- 524 Grams) and 30 grams Opium from a watered paddy field adjacent to village- Kilche of district Ferozepur. The packet was wrapped in yellow adhesive tape.
During the last night hours, the alert BSF troops recovered upper body Part of a Pistol and one magazine from a farming field adjacent to village- Khalra, Tarn Taran. The weapon parts were wrapped in yellow adhesive tape with a nylon loop and two illuminating sticks attached, indicating a drone dropping.
