Ferozepur, July 20, 2023: A flood has causes physical hazards and emotional stress in the border villages and post-flood care is more important. While Health department is doing its best to take care of the flood-affected areas by holding medical camps, at the same time, the district administration is also issuing advisory and NGOs are also working to provide relief materials.
But spending few moments with the flood victims and staying for a night to feel their pulse, Sukhpal Singh Nannu, former Chief Parliamentary Secretary has taken the lead, and shared his experience about the problems being faced by the villagers – like forced to drink contaminated water, suffering from terrible water borne diseases with the presence of mosquitoes.
Making an appeal to the district administration to take care of the people of border villages whoare living a hellish life and they are in need of mosquito nets, medicines including the ORS powder to take by mixing in water.
Sukhpal Singh Nannu said that all of us, especially the political parties, should rise above their personal interests and help the flood-affected people and work jointly, in this hour of need, , to help the needy persons.
