Five months on, murder victim’s family moves from pillar to post to get justice

Ferozepur, August 26, 2022:  The family members of a 30-year-old youth, murdered five months ago in village Mabo Ke in Mamdot block, is moving from pillar to post to get justice.

Divulging with details, Harpreet Singh borhter of Karaj Singh who has murdered on April 2, 2022 by a group of 7 persons – Joginder Sigh, Paramjit Sngh, Baljit Singh, Satwinder Pal Singh, Ranjit  Singh, Jaspreet Singh and Pritam Singh, along with certain unidentified persons and a case was registered under Sections 302, 336, 324, 323, 148, 149, 25, 27 under No. 042/April 3, 2022.

Since then, it is 5 months period, we moving from SHO to DIG, but no arrest has been made so far, said Harpreet Singh to the media persons in Press Club Ferozepur by holding a press conference along with his mother Hrbhajn Kaur, wife Parminder Kaur, Jaj Singh (Chacha), Gurbhej Singh )Mama) and Gurnoor Singh (3-year-old son).

Stating the tragic incident of April 2, Harpreet Singh said, my borther Karaj Singh had come from the ‘mela’ when the accused had old enmity with the family, murdered Karaj Singh,  over minor arguments over the phone,  by firing and roaming freely as no arrest has been made so far by the police rather threatening with dire consequences.  He also alleged that one accused Pritam Singh was also handed over the police but he too was released.

Parminder Kaur, wife of Karaj Singh in a choked voice said, it is very unfortunate that the police not taking any action despite registration of a case. Saying we will not remain silent until the killers of my husband are arrested, she also appealed to the CM for immediate justice.

Bharti Kisan Union leaders also joined them in this support and demanded the arrest of the alleged accused immediately failing we will resort to the massive agitation to get justice to the family members.

On the other hand, the police officials say that the investigations are still going on and shortly some action will be taken in this regard.
