Ferozepur-based woman refuses to hoist National flag at her residence; Here’s why

Ferozepur, August 16, 2022: When the whole countrymen celebrated 75th  India’s Independence Day celebrations on August 15, as Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, one Satwinder Kaur (Widow) daughter of late S.Karam Singh Uppal, resident of Basti Tanks Wali, Ferozepur did not hoist the National Flag to express her resentment though her family has a great love for the country.

Satwinder Kaur said that she has been moving from pillar to post for the past two years but the district administration has failed to fulfill her request to cover the sewerage pit in front of her house.

“I love my country a lot which is why I bought a flag on the occasion but I will not hoist the National flag at my residence to express my resentment towards the failure of administration,” she said while holding a tricolor.
