National Doctor’s Day: Five doctors felicitated for their service to society in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, July 1, 2022: Expressing his gratitude on the occasion to the Punjab government, Dr.Rajinder Arora, Civil Surgeon brought into focus the significance of the day adding that in all 107 doctors were selection Punjab for best performance award and out of which five are from Ferozepur.
National Doctor’s Day is the day when doctors committed to service to all sections of society are felicitated. Their human and philosophical attitude and approach are acknowledged and honoured. The day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of noted physician and former West Bengal Chief Minister Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy.
Honouring the five doctors on behalf of the Punjab government, Dr.Rajinder Arora, Civil Surgeon and Dr.Bhupinder Kaur, SMO said, facing all hazards and risks during the critical period of corona pandemic, doctors now called frontline warriors, have created history of sort by dedicating themselves to the service of people across the continents. The purpose of honoring the doctors on this day was to encourage the doctors to provide better services so that other medical officers could also take inspiration from them.
Dr.Rajinder Arora, Deputy Medical Commissioner, in his message also wished all the doctors a Happy Doctor’s Day. He said that it was due to the services rendered to save the lives of humanity that doctors have been given the status of second god in the society .
Speaking on the occasion, S.P.Khera, President, Senior Citizens Forum said, No doubt, medical service is one of the most prestigious professions yet the assault on doctors is the biggest challenge and has dented the image of the profession despite the fact that doctor dedicates his heart and soul to save the life of a patient by sacrificing his or her family and personal life. But losing a patient is equally painful for us as well. Building health relationships with patients and people should be the aim of doctors and medical professions so that their dignity is maintained.
The five senior doctors of Civil Hospital recognized on this auspicious occasion for their exemplary contribution are – Ayushman Bharat – Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana (AB-MMSBY) by treating the beneficiaries of the scheme in the State of Punjab and thereby supporting India’s journey towards ensuring equitable access to quality health care service to all.
The five doctors facilitated by Dr.Rajinder Manchanda, Deputy Medical Commissioner on behalf of the Punjab government are – Dr.Jatinder Kochhar MD(Medicine), Dr.David Child Specialist, Dr.Kanish Kinra, Ortho, Dr.Pooja Gyne, and Dr.Manjit MD Medicine.
