Delhi Model tag creates history in Ferozepur, sweeps all 4 seats

Ferozepur, March 10, 2022:  While Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has emerged as a big winner in Punjab and created history with its first big win outside Delhi, it also had a landslide victory in Ferozepur and the voters in the Ferozepur district gave a clean verdict against the ruling party Congress and other major political parties BJP, SAD, bagged all the four Assembly seats in Ferozepur.

All speculations have failed against the victory of AAP in Punjab and predictions of Arvind Kejriwal of the defeat of various senior and prominent leaders including the present and former Punjab Chief Ministers Charanjit Singh Channi and Parkash Singh Badal respectively as Delhi Model tag has created history in Ferozepur.

In Zira 075, Naresh Kataia who got 64,034 votes won by 23,419 votes defeating Janmeja Singh Sekhon SAD and former Minister who got too gave tight fight by securing 40,615 votes, despite being tagged as parachute candidate as he belongs to Ferozepur and last time had won during SAD from Maur constituency.

As per the final results, Ferozepur Urban 076, Ranbir Singh AAP defeated the Congress candidate Parminder Singh Pinky with 19212 votes.  While Ranbir Singh voted 47,997 votes, Pinki was polled 28,785 votes.

In Ferozepur Rural 077, Rajneesh Dhaiya AAP defeated Congress candidate Ashu Bangar with a huge margin of 54,897 votes.  Ashu Bangar who got only 20,396 votes against 75293 to AAP candidate  Rjnsh Dhaiya, had a few days of nomination for Assembly polls had resigned from AAP and joined the Congress party.

In Guruharsahai 078, Fauja Singh won by 8,899 votes with a tough fight from Varinder Singh, SAD who too got 55,589 votes against 65,458 to Fauja Singh.
