Police solve blind murder case of Kashmiri youth in 24 hrs, 2 held
Ferozepur, February 19, 2022: The Ferozepur police on Saturday claimed to have solved the blind murder mystery of Kashmiri youth within 24 hrs and arrested two persons in this connection.
The body of Kashmir youth identified as Mushtaq Ahmed Mir, who used to sell woolen clothes on cycles by visiting the villages, was found in a bag on Ferozepur-Malwal road near Bahadar Wala village link road T-Point. A case under Section 302 was registered against the unidentified persons.
Divulging with details, SSP Narender Singh informed that a team was constituted under the tutelage of Manwinder Singh, SP(I) along with Jagidish Kumar, SDP(I), and Jagdish Kumar in charge CIA staff.
SSP said, In-depth investigation was carried out from various scientific and technical angles and also a tip-off, Sonu and Beant Kaur of Arifke of village Arif Ke presently of Sodhewala Village were arrested from Cantt railway station along with a motorcycle used in the incident. During the preliminary investigation, the accused admitted having murdered by putting a cloth around the neck of Mushtaq Ahmed Mir by hatching a plan to call him at home. In fact, Beant Kaur had to pay Rs.4800 for which the deceased had threatened to depart with household goods and used unwanted language. The body of Mir was thrown in the nearby fields.
He further said, one purse of the deceased, some documents of J&K, Rs.1500, and his cycle have also been recovered from the residence of the alleged accused. Mir was murdered with intention of not returning the borrowed money. The accused will be produced in the court on Feb. 20 to get police remand for further investigation and more clues are likely to come to the surface.
