Water for Voiceless: Rotary Club Royal distributes free ‘Water Pots’ for birds
Ferozepur, July 12, 2021: The scorching heat has started to take a toll on people, but more so on animals and birds. who have no recourse in summer, a group of kind-hearted members of the Rotary Club Royal of Ferozepur have taken it upon themselves to distribute Water Pots and Feed for birds, free of cost to morning walkers and roadside bird lovers, to ensure that no stray animal or bird goes thirsty.
Vijay Arora, Past District Governor, Ashok Behal, Secretary Red Cross Society, were also present on this occasion.
Sandeep Tiwari, President said, ‘Morning walkers are best observers of nature and birds are important part of it. Their survival largely depends on easy water availability. We have appealed to the people to place these pots with water on terraces along with food. We also plan to make it a nature conservation movement. On the first day, around 100 Water Pots were distributed.
The other members present were – J S Sodhi, Secretary, Vikas Arora Treasurer, Vikas Bajaj, Sumit Manchanda, Vivek Dhindra Yashpal, Sarbjeet Singh, Kunal Puri, Sandeep Puri, Rocky Tiwari and Pankaj Malhotra.
