3 deaths, 97 Corona +ve cases reported in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, April 29, 2021: The second wave of Coronavirus has shaken every part of the nation and in Ferozepur, during the month of April, there had been a regular upward trend of Covid-19 positive cases with 3 deaths and 97 Corona positive cases.  During the month of April 2,283 Corona positive cases and 51 deaths, have surfaced.

So far, 7,486 Corona positive cases have been reported in the district since the outbreak of the virus in this part and as of today, 1,088 are active cases.

The sampling campaign has also been intensified and on Wednesday 1308 samples were taken, the results which are awaited.  There had also been the recovery of 6,188 cases against the positive cases of 7,486 reported.

The death toll has gone to 214 deaths including three of today of 56, 65 and 76 years old males in Ferozepur and Guruharshai blocks and 51 during the month of April.

Against the vaccination campaign, as per the cumulative report, 67,287 persons have been given Covid vaccination of 45 plus age which includes first and second dose and frontline and health workers.

In view of daily reporting of Covid positive cases, the district administration has imposed the lockdown period from 5 pm to 5 am besides appealing to the citizens to continue to follow the Corona behavior guidelines, which is only the tool to save yourself and others from the further transmission of the virus. So far the situation is under control, but the cooperation of the citizens is a must, to give a tough fight to win over the virus, said health official.
