Ferozepur, July 24, 2022: The Ferozepur police have started a special drive to keep a sharp eye on the movement of anti-social elements with effective sealing scheme and vehicle checkpoints in the district and on Saturday, IG Police Ferozepur Jaskaran Singh and SSP, Surendra Lamba personally supervise the operation, under directions of DGP Gaurav Yadav.
The campaign has been launched to instill fear in anti-social elements and crack down on gangsters, drug traffickers and to create a sense of security among the people.
Inspector General of Police, (Ferozepur Range) Ferozepur, Jaskaran Singh said that all gazetted officers and post in-charges will ensure deployment of 30 NGOs/EPOs at inter-state points, 16 at inter-district points and 7 at city points.
The entire operation, which lasted from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm, was led by Inspector General Police (Ferozepur Range) Ferozepur Jaskaran Singh IPS. at the special installed to speed up vigilance and checking of vehicles. Special checking is being done on all vehicles entering and exiting Ferozepur.
SSP Surendra Lamba said that the campaign has been started in the state in a synchronized manner besides routine checking from time to time, at different locations. Today’s effective sealing scheme at inter-state points vehicle checking campaignj, by putting up the check points is throughout the state, under directions of DGP from 4 pm to 7 pm with special focus on suspicious nature persons and vehicles, with a motive of making the effective checking and causing inconvenience to the public. Around 650 police employees have been deployed to create fear among anti-social elements as well as create a sense of security among the common people.
He said, besides verifying genuineness of the material in the vehicle, we are also removing the black films, on the glass of vehicles, which are not allowed as per the directions of the government. Around 400 vehicles were checked under this special drive. The police force has been instructed to treat every resident politely during this operation as the purpose of this special checking is to prevent anti-social activities, safety of the people, to create a sense of self-confidence, trust and security among people so that all this has deterrent effects of the police on crime, he added.
