10 deaths, 192 COVID-19 +ve cases reported in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, May 11, 2021: Ten deaths and 192 new Covid-19 positive cases have been reported in Ferozepur taking the total tally of positive cases in Ferozepur, as on date to 9,359 positive cases and 278 deaths, since the outbreak of virus in the district.
As per record 1,42, 797 samples were taken, out of which 1,32,554 were reported negative, 9,359 positive, 7,568 recovered and still 1,523 cases were active while the result of 880 samples are still awaited.
Among ten deaths, 5 each are male and female of the age group between 35-78 years in Ferozeur Urban, Mamdot Ferozshah, Kassoana blocks. The total deaths during the month of May are 59 with 1,747 positive cases.
In the vaccination drive, 1,013 persons of 45 plus age including frontline and health workers were given Covid vaccination and so far, 83,163 persons have been vaccinated in the district.
The district administration and health department has made an appeal to the citizens to come forward for vaccination and follow Covid appropriate behavior guidelines from time to time.
