Vivekananda World School organized Blood Donation Camp on Elder’s Day

Ferozepur, November 21, 2020:  School has organized the blood donation camp to pay tribute to former SSP S.Manminder Singh and also celebrated  ‘Elders day ‘ in school premises to raise awareness of the impact of an aging population and the need to ensure people can grow with dignity and to elevate consciousness about points which are affecting the aged.

The 16th Art and Theatre Festival has reached its third stage and the school has organized the Blood Donation Camp with the co-operation of the Indian Red Cross Society on 21st November 2020. Elder’s day was celebrated as a mark of respect to honor the aged people. Smt. Karamjeet Kaur  – wife of Late S.Manminder Singh – graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

Dr.S.N Rudra, Director, VWS  enlightened the people about the Mohan Lal Bhaskar Educational Society and Foundation and told that this society always come forward for the welfare of the people and every year this society organizes Medical Camp, Blood Donation Camp, distribution of ration to the needy.

On the grounds of ‘Mohan Lal Bhaskar Educational  Society and Foundation,the General Secretary  Gaurav Sagar Bhaskar said that Blood Donation is considered as the biggest and valuable donation and many people contributed voluntarily and donated 40 Units blood and their act was praise worthy.

On the other side, the honorable elders  Dr.Daljeet Singh, Amritlal Puri, Sh. Shyam Lal Kakkar, Amar Singh, Harichand Kamboj, Vinod Kumar, Ajit Singh, Chaman Lal Arora, Naresh Kakkar,  Mangat Ram, Swarn Kanta, Pyare Lal , Ramesh Kumar were honored.

Vice-Principal Mr.Vipin Kumar Sharma also addressed the people and thanked everyone and told about the motive of elders day and blood donation camp.

On this day the laureates of the school who excelled in various competitions such as online Mathlete Competition (Grade 1 to 5) were awarded and Pushp Nath was ranked   1st while Keshav Goyal stood 2nd. In grade 6 to 10th Rubbab Sharma was ranked 1st and Anshika Singla was ranked 2nd.In Kavyanjali Competition Manreet Kaur was ranked 2nd  and Palak Monga was ranked 3rd. In the Orators for life competition, Manreet Kaur excelled and stood  1st while 2nd position was bagged by Anshika Singla.
