SAD slams AAP, Congress for misleading people and burn effigy in protest
Ferozepur, April, 5, 2021: Attacking the Aam Admi Party and Congress on the issue of misleading the people, the Shiromani Akali Dal leader former Cabinet Minister Janmeja Singh Sekhon along with SAD leaders – Joginder Singh Jindu, Ex MLA, Sat Pal Singh Talwandi, protested in Ferozepur to expose its double standards and in protest, burned effigy in front of his residence.
Earlier SAD had announced to protest in every constituency against the Congress government and AAP on the isues of hike in domestic power tariff, state taxes accoutring for the hike in diesel and petrol, denial of post-matric scholarship to dalits and on Congress-BJP collusion against farmers on DBT as a means to punish farmers for their peaceful struggle against the three farm laws besides talking about the breaking-down of law and order situation in the state.
Janmeja Singh accused AAP party as double faced misleading the people. He pointed out that back stabbed Punjab on the water issue for taking different stands in Punjab, Haryana and at Delhi. He said Kejriwal had made false promises at the time of elections in 2017 to waive off the farmers loan and to give job opportunities. Not only this, the government counsel had appeared in the Court against the Sikh youths who were arrested in the protest on Jan 26. Sekhon said, the Kejriwal had also been exposed when he gave the statement for not providing treatment for Covid to the victims from Punjab and other states.
