RPF booked two persons for stopping train at Bajalta Station in Ferozepur Division

Detaining and giving through signal to the trains depend upon control room which monitors the movement of trains on the tracks

Ferozepur April, 24, 2015 : The railways have booked two persons for blocking railway track despite ‘through signal’ at Bjalta station to train No.74906 DMU, under Udhampur in Ferozepur Division.

Giving this information, Md. Shaadan Zeb Khan, Sr.DSC RPF informed that the commuters shouted slogans against the railways and protested by sitting on the rail track, for detaining train No.74906 for a longer period at Bjalta station and giving through signal to train No.14033.

The protesters were led by Partap Singh son of Kishan Singh Kishanpura, Jammu Tavi and Rohit Sharma son of Ved Parkash, House No.256 Housing Colony, Udhampur. They were protesting for detaining the train No.74906 without any reason by the railway administration.

Immediately on getting the information, the RPF officials reached the spot and taking cognizance of the incident, both the above persons and unidentified persons were booked under the relevant sections of law on April 23, 2015.

The matter is being investigated besides making efforts to arrest the alleged accused.

The action of the RPF officials to maintain law and order has been appreciated.

Sources said the detaining of train and giving through signal to the trains depend upon the circumstances by the control room which monitors the movement of trains on the tracks.
