Rajnath Singh addresses rally in support of Sukhpal Singh Nannu BJP candidate from Ferozepur

Ferozepur, January 24, 2017:  Ferozepur is a land of martyrs – Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev  who have sacrificed to bring freedom to India.  It is the Congress who ruled over India for a maximum period during 70 years since independence and I ask the Congress as to why India is still figuring in the list of poor nations.

Rajnath Singh Home Minister, who was here in Ferozepur today, said these words while addressing the rally organized in support of Sukhpal Singh Nannu – BJP candidate fielded from Ferozepur.  He was wearing a saffor colour turban – known as the proud of Punjab, he said.

Punjab is the land of farmers and this is the main reasons behind the eyes of everyone on Punjab because of  around 40 per cent contribution of foodgrain and 50 per cent rice, by the farmers of Punjab in the Central Pool, said Rajnath Singh.  It is only the Punjab Government which has taken care of its farmers, he added.

Talking about the clear mandate to any non-Congress party was to BJP in 2014 and if I start counting the achievements during a period only two and a half year, it will take 4-5 hours and all this progress which has taken India at the global level is due to the vision of our Prime Minister, Narendera Modi.

Showing concern over some people – without naming of Rahul who had gone to celebrate new year in foreign –  trying to defame the Punjab on the drug issue, Rajnath Singh said, “I assure you so far as drug is concerned whosoever may be – “Mein Us Ki Khat Khadi Kar Doonga”.

Pointing out the terrorist activities from the neighbor country and remembering the words of Atal Behari Vajpai – “Friends are changed and not the neighbor” – he said, “India is not a weak country and I dared to say to stop terrorism while on the land of Pakistan. I assure you not to allow to bow your forehead”.

Don’t give vote but that does not mean you should throw shoe on Parkash Singh Badal, Chief Minister, Punjab, who is more respected and honoured person.

Now it is for you to decided as to whether you want the government of throwing the shoes, he added.

Normally I don’t speak about Capt but you should understand the ground realities.  Congress is a sinking ship and it is very difficult to save in such a situation, shared Rajnath Singh.

He appealed to the people to save Punjab and don’t create the environment which were during the tenure of Congress.

Lashing out at the Congress on the issue of OROP – One Rank One Pension – he pointed out “the issue was lingering on for the last 30 years and why it was sleeping over the demands of the jawans?” Only we understand the problems of farmers and jawans, he added.

Regarding the various demands like declaring Free-hold Cantonment area, Passport office in Ferozepur, Domestic Runway for flights, Introduction of long route trains from Ferozepur and allowing the farmers up to Zero Line on the border, Rajnath Singh assured to consider all these issues and asked Sukhpal Singh Nannu BJP candidate to come to me after winning.

Counting the promises if SAD-BJP government returns to power, he appealed to the people vote for Sukhpal Singh Nannu, BJP candidate from Ferozepur .
