Railways extend Chandigarh-Ludhiana Express train up to Ferozepur

Ferozepur, February 17, 2019:  The Railways have extended the existing Ludhiana Express train between Chandigarh-Ludhiana up to Ferozepur with effect from February 22.

As per the scheduled released by the Railways, the train will depart from Chandigarh at 4.40 am and reach Ferozepur at 9.45 am and on the return journey, it will leave Ferozepur 5.40 pm and arrive at Chandigarh at 11.10 pm.  However, there is no change in timings, stoppages and day of run of the train No.14630/14629 Ferozepur Cantt Ludhiana Express between LDH-CDG-LDH.

With these arrangements, the Ferozepur-Chandigarh-Ferozepur has connected both ways.  Presently, the train from Ferozepur depart at 7 am and arrive at Chandigarh at 11.40 am and on a return journey, it leaves at 4.30 from Chandigarh and reaches Ferozepur at 9.40 pm.

Inder Singh Gogia, President, NGO Coordination Society Ferozepur thanking the Railways for extending the Ludhiana Express train up to Ferozepur with effect from February 22, also demanded that the training timings for Ferozepur-Chandigarh should also now be changed like that of Chandigarh-Ferozepur extended train beside adding AC coaches.

With the change in timing, it will be convenient for the people who are regular visitor to Chandigarh to attend to their jobs conveniently by getting a sufficient time at Chandigarh but it will definitely affect the transport business who are charging hefty amount of Rs.500 against Rs.95 by the Railways and Rs.55 for senior citizens, said Gogia.
