Ferozepur, January 14, 2023:  Ferozepur youth, Kunal Chopra (21 years) died in a tragic road accident in Canberra, capital of Australia.   He had gone just 8 months back on a study visa for higher education.

Added here, every year, thousands of Indian students visit the foreign land for higher education, which is increasing every year due to less placement opportunities in India. This is the reason that more and more students are going abroad for higher studies which gives them advantage to get job opportunity to settle in those countries but in such unpredictable incidents, all hopes of the parents are shattered and studying abroad has become a bumpy road for the students with various ups and downs and the study gets tougher amid struggle sometime, when the students don’t get due work permit for comfortable leaving and putting less burden on their parents.

After this sudden incident, there is a pall of gloom in the area and efforts are being made to bring the body to hometown by the family and Punjabis settled in Australia.  All nears and dears have expressed their grief of this incident.

Kunal’s father Harish Chandra and mother Madhu Chopra and relative Babit , all in a choked voice and tears rolling down from eyes said, Kunal was the eldest among two sons and a daughter while crying that he has two sons and a daughter, among whom Kunal was the eldest, who was sent to Australia 8 months ago, after Plus 2, for higher studies, after getting loan from the bank.

Kunal’s family members have appealed to the Punjab government and social organizations to arrange the air-lifting of the dead body to India to perform the last rites.
