Punjab Police arrests 5 interstate gang members of UP & Ferozepur involved in preparing fake arms license and illegal sale of arms
Ferozepur, June, 29, 2015 : In a press conference, Sh. Paramraj Singh Umranangal, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Bathinda Zone, in presence of Sh. Amar Singh Chahal, IPS, DIG/Ferozepur Range and Sh. Hardial Singh Mann, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur informed that few days ago under the supervision of Sh. Sulakhan Singh, PPS, DSP/Guruharsahai, SI Shinder Singh, SHO Guruharsahai, Inspr. Kikkar Singh, I/c CIA Ferozepur registered FIR No.42 dated 15.03.2015 U/s 465/468/471 IPC 25/54/59 Arms Act in which 1) Harbhajan Lal (Owner of Bhajan Gun House, Guruharsahai) s/o Lachhman Das r/o Village Pindi Police Station Guruharsahai, 2) Arwinder Singh (Manager Bhajan Gun House) s/o Joginder Singh r/o Basti Mohar Singh Wali, Chak Romanwali, Jalalabad Distt Fazilka 3) Gurbachan Singh (Owner of Kotkapura Gun House) s/o Ram Singh r/o Harnampura, Kotkapura and 4) Varinder Singh (Owner of Fauji Gun House) s/o Gurdas Rai r/o Abohar were arrested in sale/purchase of illegal weapons and recovered 250 Cartridges of 32 Bore Revolver, 17 cartridges of 32 Bore, 20 cartridges of 315 Bore total 287 Cartridges alongwith 04 Magazines. On investigating the matter deeply Police have further arrested 1) Kamal Kant s/o Mahesh Chander r/o House No.32, Street No.3, Gudiya Mohalla, PS Kotwali, Disttt Udiya, Utter Pardesh 2) Amardeep @ Monu s/o Naresh Kumar Jat r/o Halwari, PS Badot Distt Bagpat (U.P.) 3) Dinesh Palta s/o Seeta Ram Caste Khatri r/o Kirti Nagar, Ferozepur City 4) Sant Ram @ Sattu s/o Doji Ram Balmik r/o Meet Market Street, Ferozepur Cantt and 5) Om Parkash s/o Bilas Raj Kapoor r/o 302, Sector-12, Panipat were arrested and 53 illegal Arms which includes 17 Riffles 315 Bore, 01 Riffle 30 Bore, 12 Guns 12 Bore,. 15 Revolvers 32 Bore, 02 Revolvers 22 Bore, 06 Pistols 32 Bore, 287 Cartridges of various Arms, 04 Magazines, 16 New Fake Arms License, 13 Blank Arms License, NOC Forms, Fake Authority Letters and 17 Fake Stamps of Distt Magistrate of different States recovered from them. He further informed that Owner of Bhajan Gun house, Guruharsahai, Harbhan Lal and his son Kapil Dev were involved in trade of smuggling Illegal Arms/Ammunition and used to smuggle 315 Bore, 12 Bore, 32 Bore Revolver/Pistols and 22 Bore Revolvers to various place of Utter Pardesh, Haryana and Rajasthan. One of their companions Kamal Kant who was earlier arrested by Mansa Police and 350 D-weapon which were manufactures in a factory in Utter Pardesh. Kamal Kant, Kapil Dev and Anil Midha (Owner of Sirsa Gun house) arrested by Sirsa Police and large amount of recovery was made from them. Kamal Kant used to purchase D-Weapon from U.P. @ 20,000/- and provide it to Kapil Dev @ Rs.40,000/-. Kapil Dev further used to sell it to license holders @ Rs.1,00,000/- with forged bills. Kapil Dev in return of these D-Weapons used to provide cartridges of 32 Bore and 315 Bore to Kamal Kant. Amardeep @ Monu r/o Halwari PS Badot Distt Bagpat (U.P.) with the help of Dinesh Palta and Sant Ram had made many fake Arms license and purchased 06 Riffles 315 Bore, 06 Guns 12 Bore, 01 Revolver 32 Bore and 01 Pistol 32 Bore on these fake licenses. On preliminary investigation, he also disclosed that he had given a rifle and cartridges to Parmod s/o Satbeer Jat r/o Gagnoli PS Doghat Distt Bagpat who is involved in many criminal cases which also includes Murder cases and has been declared as P.O. and is most wanted with reward of Rs.1,00,000/-. Dinesh Palta who worked in Distt Courts, Ferozepur as typist and had been dealing in renewal of Arms License, obtaining NOCs, ordering Ordinance Revolvers on Authority Letters etc. Dinesh Palta and Sant Ram @ Sattu with the help of Harbhajan Lal and his son Kapil Dev made many fake Arms licenses of Criminal persons residing in Districts Bagpat, Gaziabad, Merath, Delhi and Haryana and provided Illegal weapons like 315 Bore Riffles, 12 Bore Guns and 32 Bore Pistol/Revolver to them. Dinesh Palta and Sant Ram @ Sattu charged Rs.60,000/- per license from their costumers. Both Dinesh Palta and Sant Ram @ Sattu are arrested and 17 fake Stamps of Distt Magistrate of different States, 16 Fake Arms Licenses and many blank documents/forms have been recovered from them. Om Parkash Kapoor s/o Bilas Raj Kapoor r/o 306, Sec-12, Panipat who is owner of Kapoor Gun House at Panipat. Criminal type of people from Utter Pardesh, Delhi, Haryana used to come to him. He assisted them by making fake Arms License and also helped them in supplying illegal Arms/Ammunitions. He had made many fake Arms license and supplied a number of Illegal Arms/Ammunition to their costumers in returns he took handsome money from them. He further confessed that he prepared fake Arms license of K.P. Malik, President Municipal Corporation Badot, Manohar Singh @ Raj Kumar, Owner of Sagar Hotel, Rajeev Kumar s/o Varinder Kumar Chairman Jat College Badot, Parminder Tomar, Sunil Arya, Vipan Rana, Satbeer, Adesh Jain, Ajit Rahul all are residents of Badot and supplied a number of fake Arms License as well illegal Arms/Ammunition to his costumers with the help of Babbu Dakoli. Further investigation is going on and involvement of others may come forth.
