Private schools detain roll numbers for Board exams, in protest FPWS members blocked traffic

Ferozepur, April 26, 2022:  The Ferozepur Parents Welfare Society blocked traffic outside the HMDAV school and Udham Singh Chowk, for about three and a half hour,  accusing the private schools for detaining the roll numbers of students for Board exams.

Despite having a meeting with the district administration and private school managements, the schools are demanding annual fee charges and detained the roll numbers for Board exams.  Apart from this, the TC – Transfer Certificates are not being issued for the students who have already left the school.

With the result, the other schools are not accepting the new admission without the TC and cannot sit in the exams without the roll numbers.

The FPWS members alleged that even the school managements have misbehaved with the members of the society.

With the intervention of DSP, the issue was resolved to arrange meeting with the SDM and dharna was lifted.

Nareder Kesar, District President of the Private School Association said, in the event of any problem or clarification, related to private schools, the parents should discuss with the school management across the table.
