PARENTS- THE MESSIAHS OF TRUE LOVE : Mayank Foundation
On this National Parents’ Day, let’s salute all the parents of the world. Parents play an important part in the life of the children who can never pay back for what the parents do or sacrifice for them. They are the nature’s best gift that every living creature gets on the earth. This is the reality that needs no explanation but the majority of the people don’t feel, perceive and realise the value of the parents as long as they are alive. The homes for the old, though valuable in many respects, also points to shoddy treatment that the old parents get at the hands of their children.

So, this day should be observed as rallying point to ponder over the importance of parents in our life and we should take pledge that our filial feelings should be filled with care, respect and honour for our parents.

It is really ironical that the alive parents don’t get their due respect but when they die, the children go on to every length to perform the last rituals in their memory. Most of the old people are seen suffering at the hands of their children leading to their mental agony and frustration. This new trend is really taking a heavy toll on the bond of love among the relations.

The origin of love emanates from the love, attachment and care one has for his parents. You can become capable of loving any person only if you love the people who give you birth, bring you up and ensure the best of things in life. If you fail your parents in love, you can’t be trusted in love for any other person. Remember our parents build our mental, social, financial and career development. They train us for the future challenges too. so, ignoring them or developing indifferent attitude for them proves bankruptcy of our emotional side.

The other side of the perspective also points at the parenting, which is a great responsibility to chisel the sanskaras and moral development of a child. The parents who earn honestly and teach good values to the kids, are more likely to have children who possess all the qualities that the modern youth is found missing with. The parents should bear in mind the famous proverb that you have to reap what you sow. So, it is an added accountability to teach ethics and morals to their children, besides developing scientific and professional temper in them.

The modern youth should respect their parents and the parents should work on teaching the best of values. The foundation of a strong nation rests on foundation of strong family- bonding, which rests on the respect and care for the elders. The homes where the parents are respected are the real heaven on the earth.
