Pak Lawyer Qureshi will get State Guest status in Chandigarh

Ferozepur, October 2, 2017: Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi has been invited to Chandigarh on October 3, 2017 to meet Rana Kanwarpal Singh, known as Rana KP in political circle, Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker where he will be accorded the status of State Guest.

Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi, a resident of the other side of Punjab in Pakistan – a lawyer by profession, who is in Ferozepur to pay tributes by joining the 110th celebrations of Shaheed Bhagat Singh was here in Ferozepur since 28th September, 2017.

 

Speaking to this correspondent, during Qureshi’s visit to Baba Kala Mehar Samadh at village Jhoke Hari Har near Ferozepur,  informed that he had got a call from personal staff of Rana KP Singh, Deputy Speaker and he will be visiting Chandigarh on October 3.  He further informed, I was told that I will be accorded the status of State Guest  on visiting Chandigarh.

Qureshi, who is Founder Chairman of Pak-India Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation, Lahore, who is fighting to prove the innocence of martyr of Bhagat Singh in Lahore High Court to prove his innocence, having no mention in the FIR lodged on ,  has filed a fresh petition in the court for early hearing.

He also expressed his concern over the division of mother tongue Punjab into two parts.

Qureshi said both India and Pakistan government should ease the visa process for the people of both the countries to join the celebrations of birth anniversary in Pakistan on September 28 and ‘martyrs’ divas’ in India on March 23.

Qureshi was of the view that national memorial at Hussainiwala must be development with a museum and auditorium so that the coming generations should know the history of freedom from the sacrifices of martyrs.

He also appealed to the Pakistan government that Bredley Hall building  that was established in 1900 and the place remained a symbol of freedom heroes of sub-continent – should also be preserved as a national heritage.  

He is overwhelmed with the love and affection shown to me by the people of India at Ferozepur – a real lover of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. I will be indebted to all of you, Qureshi said. Qureshi also invited the people of India to visit Pakistan to see the ancestral house of Shaheed Bhagat Singh which is being maintained by Zamaat Ali, who was allotted this house by the Pakistan government.
