Monthly Lok Adalat settled 59 cases with awards of Rs.50.68 lakhs in Ferozepur

Ferozeopur, May 21, 2016 :   In the Monthly Lok Adalat held today at Ferozepur, out of 189 cases, 59 were settled by a bench of five courts – 3 at Ferozepur and one each at Guruharsahai and Zira.

Giving the details, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Ferozepur said, the five Lok Adalats were headed by Rakesh Kumar, Add. District Judge, Supreet Kaur, Civil Judge (JD), Deepal Singh, Civil Judge (JD),  at Ferozepur, Rahul Garg, Addl. Civil Judge (SD) Guruharsahai and Pushpinder Singh, Addl.Civil Judge (SD) Zira.

In all the 189 cases – Ferozepur 36, 44 and 32 cases in three courts and Guruharsahai 19 and Zira 68 cases were referred and out of 189 cases 59 were settled – at Ferozepur 7, 18, 16, Guruharsahai 15 and Zira 3, with an award of Rs.50,68,870.
