Ferozepur, January 12, 2016: Anjali Jain wife of Adish Kumar who is running a chemist shop at Zira along with his father, is moving pillar to post to get justice for her husband who is in jail for the last two months in NDPS Act.

Addressing the media persons to tell her tale – at the residence of former Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Sukhpal Singh Nannu, former CPS representing BJP party – said, a police team of three SHOs and 10-15 cops, came to the shop of her father-in-law, lifted her husband and cash. Later on, the police booked a case on May 6, 2015, under NDPS Act with recovery of heavy intoxicant substance and on the next day showing his arrest with recovery during the search, at a ‘naka’ on Kot Ise Khan road, during the routing patrolling.

The police on entering the shop, had asked about the installation of CCTV camera at the shop, then collected the cash and took him and the Activa by beating and thrashing, she said.

The recovery shown was 3000 intoxicant tablet and 200 capsules – Becalm, Alprozolam and Fortadol – with identification of the arrested person as Adish Kumar son of Kanchan Kumar resident of Zira.

Since then Anjali is moving pillar to post to get justice for her husband.  Anjali who is post-graduate in computer applications belongs to Ludhiana and was married to Adish Kumar, having a D-Pharmacy diploma.  The couple is blessed with a son of 9 months.

Presently, Adish Kumar was working with his father at Kanchan Medical Store at Zira being run under the licence in the name of his father.

Anjali has approached to SSP, ADGP, Human Rights and even to the High Court. But she has been denied the justice and no bail has so far been granted by the court.

Even the calls details did not show his presence on Kot Ise Khan road or nearby and the whole story looks to be concocted, Anjali shared with the media persons.

Anjali pleading for the innocence of her husband said, I have approached to Sukhpal Singh Nannu – who was also present during the press conference – who is fighting with the police to help the innocent and stand foursquare soundly on the level – for helping me to get my husband released by holding impartial inquiry into the sequence of arrest especially when sufficient proof are available to establish from the phone calls details that he was not at all the place from where his arrest has been shown, said Anjali.  She said, the phone call details and locations of Gurpreet Singh, SHO Makhu, Paramjit singh SHO Zira City and Devinder Parkash SHO Zira Sadar, could only bring the truth on surface.

Only plea being taken by Anjali is that when her husband was taken from the shop as to how he has been shown his arrest with recovery of substance at Kot Ise Khan road, in the FIR.

Added here, Former CPS Sukphal Singh Nannu,is already in controversy with the police for accusing of being involved in the cross-border trade and implicating innocent persons into fake cases on the pretext of recovery of meager contraband.

He had held a protest two days back outside the office of SSP carrying placard with a slogan ‘Bahar Niklo Makanoo Se, Jung Laro Beyimano Se (Come out of your house to fight the rouge).  He had even leveled the charges that these police stations are virtually being run on contractual basis where only the influential anti-social elements have their say.

He said, in his words said that he is not at all against the police rather he is helping the police with a feedback to keep intact the image of the police and party.  He will continue his protests till the officials are not shifted who have registered the false cases against the innocent people besides holding impartial inquiry by the senior officers in such cases.
