Media agencies refrain from writing down price of heroin: SSP, Charanjit Singh
Ferozepur, May 13, 2022: Media agencies should refrain from writing down price of heroin in the news as the young generation is often impressed by the value in crores and are trapped in this business, to become rich over-night, said SSP Charanjit Singh, while holding a press meet on recovery of heroin and nabbing of one drug smuggler.
SSP said, “Simply by refraining from publishing the price of drugs (heroin), to which young generation who dream of getting rich overnight get confused and follow this path, the media too can play a role in changing the mind of the youths.
He said it is our duty to take out the youths from this menace of drugs and make people aware of the growing illusion of becoming rich quickly. Rather, we should put the youths wiser that this is not the right path to becoming rich rather it becomes the way to end your future.
