Mass disposal of drugs seized in 55 cases by Ferozepur police panel
Ferozepur, April 16, 2024:The Ferozepur Police on Tuesday, disposed of seized drugs property, in the 55 cases of NDPS Act, on the outskirts of the city at Sukhbir Agro Enterprises Limited (SAEL), Hakumat Singh Wala, in the presence of District Level Drug Disposal Committee under the tutelage of Soumiya Mishra, SSP, Randhir Kumar, SP(I), Balkar Singh, DSP(D), as per the directions of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The seized proper burnt down was 6.675 kg heroin, 50.500 kg poppy husk, 1160 habit-forming drugs and 595 gm intoxicant powder
The vigil against drug peddling had been stepped up by the police, on directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann who is acting on mission mode to rid the state of the drug menace, resulting in this huge recovery. These were collected through various raids and seizures by the police in the past.
