‘Mashal March’ gets warm welcome in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, February 17, 2018: ‘Mashal March’ – an innovative idea to revamp the school education in Punjab by Krishan Kumar, Secretary School Education – was given a warm welcome on Friday on reaching at Govt. High School Jhoke Hari Har by Krishna Devi, Headmistress, Gurdev Singh, Nirmal Singh, Chairman and staff members.
The Mashal March had started from Fatehgarh Sahib district on February 5 and after taking out in all the 22 districts as per scheduled date it will culminate at SAS Nagar on March 5.
This is perhaps the first time in Punjab that a month-long ‘Mashal March’ programme has been launched to increase the strength of students in government schools in the State. Apart from this, the teachers have been asked to take optimum utilization of each and every source for awakening the masses about the various facilities as well as quality education available in the government schools.
The Mashal March was also accompanied by Nek, Singh, DEO (Sec.) and Pargat Singh Brar, Dy.DEO, District Science Supervisor, BM, DM and other senior officers.
Welcoming the participants of Mashal March, Krishan Devi put wiser the parents of the students about the facilities being extended to the students in government schools.
