Kissan and VDC meeting held at Ferozepur border

Ferozepur, February 14, 2024:  On Wednesday, in morning hours a meeting with kissan and village defence committee -VDC members was conducted in the border area of distt Ferozepur, Punjab. The meeting was chaired by Dr Atul Fulzele, IPS, IG BSF Ftr Punjab.

During the meeting, the IG BSF interacted with farmers & VDC members and made them aware about the on-going Central Govt schemes undertaken by BSF in bordering areas like Vibrant Village, Pre-recruitment training, Civic Action Programs etc.

Further, the officer motivated them to spread awareness about drugs de-addiction among youths of the border areas and live a healthy life. Apart from this, the  IG also addressed the issues of farmers and awarded appreciation cards to some VDC members for timely sharing of information and co-operation with BSF for successful seizure of the contraband items.

Later, the IG, BSF visited BOP Raja Mohtam to pay homage to the martyrs and laid the wreath at the Samadhi Sthal.
