In Ferozepur, Rs.13.78 cr illegal assets of 28 drug smugglers freezed under NDPS Act

Ferozepur, November 21, 2023:  The Ferozepur police in its drive against drugs campaign has started freezing the illegal properties of the drug smugglers through illegal drug sales.

Divulging with the details, SSP Deepak Hillori said, in the Ferozepur district, so far 28 drug smugglers with illegal assets worth Rs.13,78,64,902 have been freezed, under Section 68(2) of the NDPS Act, after getting orders from the Competent Authority at Delhi.  Under this action, the properties freezed cannot be sold or transferred, till further orders from the CA.

Another three drug smugglers cases of freezing of illegal assets have been prepared under the NDPS Act and sent to the Competent Authority in Delhi and action is being taken to attach the properties of 10 more smugglers, he added.
