Hussainiwala Martyrs’ Memorial to be developed as Tourist Hub

Ferozepur April 23, 2019: To develop the Martyrs’ Memorial at Hussainiwala as Tourist Hub, a meeting under the guidance of Sumer Singh Gurjar, Divisional Commissioner-cum-Chairman of Hussainiwala Memorial Trust was held today.

Chander Gaind, Deputy Commissioner, Amit Gupta, SDM and Ranjit Singh, Assistant Commissioner (Gen) were also present in the meeting.

Trust chairman Sumer Singh Gurjar said it is our responsibility to make young generation aware of the sacrifices of our martyrs.

Martyrs’ Memorial of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, is a holy place in Firozpur, where a large number of people arrive to pay tributes to the martyrs.

A meeting was held with the officials of the Trust regarding beautification of Martyrs’ Memorial to make it as a tourist hub.

Chairman of Trust said that a variety of works like landscaping, lighting, museum and regular patriotic programmes, will be arranged at the Martyrs’ Memorial so that this place could become a source of attraction for the youths and tourists from outstations.

He directed the authorities concerned to submit a plan relating to the beautification of the place when another meeting would be called to give a final shape.
