Hockey Stadium be named after Hockey Magician Major Dhyan Chand
Ferozepur, May 7, 2019: Ashok Dhyan Chand – son of Major Dhyan Chand known as Hockey Magician – was given a warm welcome by President, Hockey Association, Anirudh Gupta and sports lovers on visiting Ferozepur Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sports Stadium.
Addressing the Hockey players on this occasion, Ashok Dhyan Chand asked the players to work hard and motivated them to be regural in touch with sports by staying in discipline.
He said that this Hockey Stadium of Ferozepur has produced renowned players and Major Dhyan Chand is also the produce of this stadium.
He praised the steps being taken by Hockey Association Ferozepur under the leadership of Anirudh Gupta and appealed that the name of the upcoming hockey astroturf stadium be named after Major Dhyan Chand.
After this, the prizes were given to the players of the show match.
On this occasion District Sports Officer Sunil Sharma, Secretary Red Cross Ashok Behl, Dr. Satinder Singh, Manmeet Singh Rubel Hockey Coach, Narain Ladi, Gurjit Singh Coach, Ashok Sharma and Ranjan Sharma were also present.
