Health Deptt. organizes ‘Cycle Rally’ on awareness about healthy lifestyle
Ferozepur, February 28, 2023: A cycle rally was organized by Health Department, to create awareness about healthy lifestyle.
Such rallies are being organised to promote physical and mental well-being and also inform our citizens about environment friendly conveyance.
The rally was flagged off by showing the green flag by Dr Sushma Thakkar, Asstt Civil Surgeon.
Addressing a brief awareness meeting before this awareness rally held in different areas of Ferozepur city, the Assistant Civil Surgeon said that medical science has overcome many diseases caused by bacteria and viruses which includes getting rid of diseases like smallpox and polio. But modern age diseases like blood pressure, diabetes and cancer are increasing very fast. He said that every person must do physical exercise daily to prevent them adding that along with physical health, exercise also removes mental diseases, anxiety etc. For physical exercise, physical activities such as cycling, walking, playing a sport or yoga should be included daily.
