Ferozepur, March 19, 2022:  On the first day of his 2-days visit to Punjab, Haryana BJP State President paid tributes to martyrs at Hussainwala on Saturday and left for Amritsar to visit Jallianwala Bagh and Wagha border and to collect the soil of this sacred land.

Earlier also, in a unique initiative, to play ideal rebut all martyrs and with the intention of infusing the revolutionary thoughts of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh among the youth of Haryana, a group of nine youths under the banner of National Farmer Mazdoor Sangh, reached the martyrdom site at Hussainiwala, by covering a distance of 370 km, to collect soil from martyrs land.  The soil collected will be mixed with the soil of Haryana in planting saplings in the villages which will remind the youths the sacrifice of martyrs for the freedom of India.

Speaking on the occasion, BJP State President, O P Dhankar said, “Under the Azadi Ka Mahotsave programme, today I have visited Hussainiwala, along with youths President Rana, MLA Pawan Kaushik, and others,  to pay floral tributes to the known and unknown martyrs.  We will also take the soil from the land of martyrs which has given birth to great leaders like Bhagat Singh, from the residence of Sukhdev and from ancestral village Khatkar Kalan, and from the village of Rajguru in Pune by visiting on March 22,  to each block of Haryana and thousands of youths will collect on martyrdom day (March 23) to express their gratitude towards the sacrifice of martyrs.  We will feel happy to put the soil of this sacred land on our forehead.

The patriot songs and slogans remembering martyrs were sung by the visiting leaders and party workers.

We had paid tributes to Subhash Chander Bose and 26,000 soldiers of Azad Hind Fauj, who laid down their lives, along with the associates of Chander Shekhar Azad – Ram Parshad Bismal, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, and BK Dutt in Haryana by visiting all the villages, said Dhankar.

On asking about the display of the Bhagat Singh photo in the government offices as announced by the newly elected CM Punjab Bhagwant Mann,  BP Dhankar said, Bhagat Singh, is already living in the heart of people.  He said Bhagat Singh became so popular when sacrificed for the freedom of India that the sale of his photographs has surpassed all leaders.
