Firing incident in Ferozepur: 10 booked including Municipal Council President
Ferozepur, September 25, 2022: In the firing incident, the police have booked 10 persons including former President Municipal Council, Rinku Grover and 2-3 unidentified persons for attempt to murder by firing of Sandeep Tandon, brother of former Municipal Councilor Manish Dhawan.
The attack is said to be the outcome of enmity during the last elections. Some accused have been arrested but there is no confirmation from the police.
However , family source said, in the 5 hours operation, the bullet has been removed from box of Sandeep and he is out of danger
As per statement given by Sandeep to the police, the alleged accused booked are Rinku Grover, Parminder Singh Handa, Parminder alias Pintu Kapahi, former Councilor Markas Bhatti, varinder Kataria father in law of Pintu Kapahi, Kush Kataria brother in law, brother Sonu Kapahi Pawan @Pamma Mehta, and driver Kashmir under Sections 307, 323, 148, 149, 120-B and 25, 27, 54 of Arms Act.
On the other hand Gulshan Monga saying himself as innocent has demanded hight level inquiry into the incident.
The police is making a scrutinv of nearby CCTV cameras to identify the accused and will be nabbed shortly, said police official.
