Ferozepur: Vehicle lifter and mobile snatchers gangs busted, 7 held with 22 two-wheelers, 14 mobiles
Ferozepur, July 20, 2021: In a major success to the Ferozepur police, on Tuesday, have busted two two vehicle-lifter gang and recovered 22 two-wheelers and 14 mobiles, from their possession with the arrest of four persons while one is yet to be nabbed.
Divulging with details, Bhagirath Singh Meena, SSP Ferozepur said, Narcotic Control Cell and Kulgarhi Police Station got a tip-off during their routine patrolling in their areas, about the unscrupulous persons involved in the crime of vehicle lifting and further selling it further, are active. Working swiftly on the in-put, both the teams, nabbed four persons.
He further said, 13 motorcycles were recovered from Deepak of Guruharsahai while his accomplice Ramni, who have helped the accused in stealing and disposing the vehicle, is yet to be arrested. In another trap, 8 motorcycles and one Activa, were recovered from the possession of Vishal, Mandeep and Sagar of Ferozepur.
During the preliminary investigations, Vishal and Sagar had already a criminal record and booked in two cases of 2015 under various Sections of IPC including 399 (dacoity) and 402 (assembling for purpose of committing dacoity).
In another incident, on information from informer, three persons identified as Akash, Sonu and Sajan have been arrested with 14 mobiles snatched along with one stolen motorcycle and booked under Sections 379-B and 411 IPC.
SSP said the police remand will be taken after producing the alleged accused in the court for further inward and forward in-depth investigations which could help in obtaining more details of earlier crimes and involvement in other crimes, and more and recoveries are likely to come on surface.
