Ferozepur police booked 9 drug peddlers with recovery of heroin
Ferozepur, February 22 2023: Under the CASO Cordon and Search Operation carried out by the Punjab police in its drive against the anti-social elements and drug peddlers arrested nine persons, from different locations in the district, with recovery of 265 gm heroin.
As per the information, Gursharan Singh alias Sharna at Wakilan Wala in Zira with 40 gm heroin, Manpret Singh of Shahdinwala near Ferozepur, Navdeep Singh of Ghall Kalan with 50 gm, Sukha of Jhoke Hari Har with 25 gm, Surraj of Basti Awa of Talwanid Bhai with 10 gm, Lakhbir Singh alias Lal of Makhu with 60 gm, Rahul Kumar of Makhu with 50 gm, Dimple of Mallanwala with 20 gm, and Raj Kumar of Rao Ke Hittar with habit forming 620 tablets, one mobile phone and one motorcycle.
All have been booked under NDPS Act and further investigations are on with special focus on their backward history and links with the suppliers and customers.
