Ferozepur: Firing in broad day light near private college triggers panic

Ferozepur, September 19, 2019: There was a panic among locals in Ferozepur City area after the firing by the youth injuring Sarpanch, near the local private college on Ferozpeur-Mallanwala road.

The injured Sarpanch was identified as Angrez Singh of village Maste Ke falling under Arif Ke Police Station.

According to injured Sarpanch Angrez Singh, there was a exchange of hot words between his son Sandeep Singh and his friends when he also reached there.  Sarpanch alleged that he interfered to give a word of advice to the youth when a youth suddenly started firing which hit his leg injuring him seriously.  He was taken to the Civil Hospital by Sandeep Singh and after first-aid, he was referred to Faridkot Medical College, on seeing his serious condition.

Claiming that the accused will be nabbed shortly, DSP Gurdeep Singh said, the statement of Angrez Singh Sarpanch has been recorded and nearby CCTV footage are being collected to identified the alleged accused and nab them. However, no particular cause of dispute could be known so far.
