Ferozepur: Bike-borne snatcher flees with gold chain of Journalist’s wife
Ferozepur, March 10, 2024: There have been several chain-snatching cases in the city, in the past. In another shocking incident that surfaced on March 9 late evening, a senior journalist was targeted by a snatcher when he was going towards Ferozepur Cantt, with his wife, on his Activa bike. In this incident took place near Kile Wala Chowk, a gold chain, weighing 30 gm, was snatched from the neck of his wife, and in this occurrence, Jagdish Kumar Journalist was injured. He was later admitted to the Civil Hospital while the snatcher managed to escape from the scene leaving the motorbike.
A complaint with the police was lodged on the statement of Jagdish Kumar- a senior journalist and active member of Press Club – and a case has been registered against the unidentified person. As per the information, at the time of incident, Jagdish stopped his Active bike and pushed the motor bike of the snatcher and he fell down on the ground with the bike. However, there was scuffle between them and Jagdish has got injury on his wrist.
The police is on hunt for the snatchers and assured to nab them shortly. Meanwhile, the Jagdish is reported to be operated for his injury on Monday.
