Don’t fall prey to rumours, 104 pair trains to continue to operate in Ferozepur Rail Divison: DRM
Ferozepur, April 22, 2021: All the 67 pairs of mail express trains and 37 pairs of unreserved mail express trains, being operated for the convenience of the passengers, in each section of the Ferozepur division, would continue to operate and not fall prey to rumours, said, Rajesh Aggarwal, Divisional Rail Manager.
The train services suspended on March 25,,2020 due to the Covid pandemic, were resumed on February 22 after a period of more than 11 months.
These express trains are – 29 pairs of special mail express trains from Amritsar, 16 from Jammu Tawi, 13 from Sri Mata Vaisno Devi Katra, 4 from Udhampur, 3 from Ferozepur Cantt and 2 from Fazilka in sections Ferozepur-Bahtinda, Amritsar-Pathankot, Pathankot,-Udhampur, Jalandhr-Ferozepur, Ludhiana-Ferzepur, Benihal-Baramulla, Ferozepour-Fazilka and Pathankot-Jogindernagar etc.
DRM informed that the Ministry of Railways has announced that the special trains currently running by Indian Railways will continue to operate and there is no plan to stop them in the future. He appealed to the migrant workers not to pay attention to any kind of rumors, go to the railway station and book their ticket from the reservation office.
Giving a bit of word advice, DRM asked the passengers to wear masks, observe social distance and wash their hands with soap or sanitizer while traveling to avoid Covid-19.
To put a check on the spread of the virus, the platform tickets at Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jammu Tawi, Jalandhar City, Udhampur, Pathankot, Pathankot Cantt, Jalandhar Cantt, Phagwara, Beas and Ferozepur Cantt have been priced at Rs.50 except at Ludhiana railway station where its sale has been stopped till further orders.
