Dev Samaj College for Women hosts 57th Inter Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival

Ferozepur, November 6, 2015 (Harish Monga FOB:  On the second day,  traditional heritage of Punjab villages came alive at the ongoing 57th Panjab University Inter Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival at Dev Samaj College for Women, under the tutelage of Nirmal Singh Joura, Director, Youth Welfare Punjab University and supervision of Dr.Madhu Prashar, Convener, Palvinder Kaur Secretary.

The four days Inter Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival is being held from 5-8 November and winner teams from 12 zones of Punjab University are participating.

Dev Samaj College for Women – a known premier institution of India, motivates the students to excel in the field of art and culture besides education.

Ashok Goyal, Syndicate Member Punjab University and Prof. Naval Kishore Dean College Development Council were the chief guest of the day.

With the formal welcome of the guests, Dr.Madhu Prashar, Principal, Parteek Kumar, Dean Development, Agneez Dhillon, thanked for their contribution in the development of the college.

Appreciating the adequate arrangements for Inter Zonal Festival,    Prof.Naval Kishore and Ashok Goyal expressed their views about the importance of festivals.  The objective of organizing these festivals was to generate awareness and put wiser the new generation, they added.

On the second day, the competitions were held in bhangra, gidda, classical vocal, songs, gazals, folk songs, Indian orchestra, rangoli, phulkari embroidery, knitting, mehndi designing, debate, poetry etc.
