Cycle ride mission in solidarity with farmers on agitation by Hussainiwala Riders Ferozepur

Ferozepur, March 28, 2021:  Eleven youngsters from Ferozepur are pedaling their way to villages as a novel way to expressing solidarity with the protesting farmers camped along the Delhi borders.  Hussainiwala Riders Ferozepur – HRF, dedicated its Sunday cycle ride in support of the protesting farmers against the Central government, for repealing of 3-Farm Laws, Electricity Bill and Pollution Act and forming new MSP Act.

The cycle ride, with yellow colour flags of farmers, started by paying obeisance at historical gurudwaras Saragarhi and Wazidpur, by 11 cyclists which passed through villages – Wazidpur, Jawahar Singh Wala,  Baje Wala, Mana Singh Wala, Ratta Khera, Badhni Gulab Singh Wala, Mishri Wala, Piaraina, Basti Bhag Singh, and  Malwal.  During the visit, they met number of farmers in the villages and expressed their solidarity with them in the fight against the Central government.

On the way, covering around 55 km ride, they were welcomed at Sandhu Farm and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Engineering College by Er. J.S.Mangat.

Speaking on the occasion, Sohan Singh Sodhi, President, HRF is popularly known as “Triple S” said, we are promoting cycling in the area to remain mentally and physically fit.

He said we were planning such a ride to express solidarity with the protesting farmers and today’s cycle ride was dedicated in support of the farmers, who are protesting for the last more than four months in the State and at Delhi borders demanding the withdrawal of black laws.  A show of solidarity is the minimum we owe to our farmers who feed us.  If these farmers decline to serve us food, then the people with little food production may have to go striving, he added.

HRF will continue to support the farmers till their demands are not met by the Central government, said Sohan Singh Sodhi and members – Gurmukh Singh, Harbir Singh Sandhu, Navneet Kumar, Aman Sharma, Dr.Rajnish Goyal, Surinder Kamboj, and Hari Yadav.
