Ferozepur, February 24, 2021:  Working swiftly on the tip-off from the special informer with ASI Jatinder Singh, 2 kg heroin dumped in the standing wheat crop fields was recovered, in a joint operation by Counter Intelligence staff and BSF jawans.

Giving this information, Ajay Maluja, AIG, Counter Intelligence said, a joint operation was carried out by CI and BSF on a tip-off, by the team and during the search two packets containing 2 kg heroin was recovered from the spotted place, from near Zero Line on the Indian side, Border Area Operation-BOP, Kasso Ke under Saddar Police Station, kept hiding, in the standing wheat crop fields.

He said the international value of the heroin is around Rs.10 crore.

It is a routine trend of smuggling on the international border because of the allurement of money. Even the porter is paid handsome amount.  We have the name of the accused person with us and verifying the facts to proceed with further action.
