Communist Party starts All India Jail Bharo Movement
Ferozepur July 24, 2017: On the first day of the Indian Communist Party's “All Indian Jail Bharo Movement”, a large number of communist volunteers, farmers and laborers presented themselves in the Deputy Commissioner's office for the arrest, led by Kul Hind Kisan Sabha's working president Bhupinder Sambar, District CPI's Kashmir Singh, District Kisan Sabha president Hari Chand, Khet Mazdoor leader Dhola Mahi and party's block secretary including some women.
Prior to the arrest, a rally was held outside the DC office. He said that Swamy Nathan Commission's recommendations should be implemented and, the land should be redistributed and the Indian government should create a fund of Rupee One lac crore for the stability of agricultural produce prices.
They said the ownership right should be given by applying progressive land reforms to the homeless and leaseholders. All loans irrespective of any bank should be brought under loan waver scheme besides making education and Health facilities equal to the rich and the poor and roll back of black law of Land and Acquisition Law Amendments 2014 proposed by the Modi government.
