Capt’s 3-day’s Kissan Yatra culminates at Ferozepur – Congress leaders seen at one platform
Ferozepur, October 19 : Capt Amarinder Singh’s roadshow in Ferozepur was greeted by a huge crowd at Khai Pheme Ki near Ferozepur, despite reaching late of the scheduled time, before culmination of his three day’s Kissan Yatra Roadshow as part of the party’s Karza-Kudki Khatam, Fasal Di Poori Rakam.
A long queue of tractors, cars, autos,two-wheeler were seen on the roadside to welcome Capt Amarinder Singh, sitting on the chair on the top of the bus mechanized with hydraulic system.
Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, MLA from Guruharsahai, Parminder Singh Pinki, MLA from Ferozepur, Hans Raj Jossan former Cabinet Minister, Inderjit Singh Zira, Chaiman Kissan Cell, Harpreet Singh Hero, Chairman Urban Development Cell and number of Congress leaders and workers were seen in the roadshow.
Todays’ Kissan Yatra route covered Guruharsahai Assembly Constituency – Jhanduwala, Ber Sahab Gurudawara, Guruharsahai Mandi, Lakho Ke mandi and then moved towards Ferozepur covering Khai Pheme Ki, Kille Walal Chowk, Sher Sha Wali Chowk, Udham Singh Chowk, Dev Samaj College and Ferozepur Mandi.
Due to late schedule, Captain did not address the farmers and villages waiting at the route points at Khai Pheme Ki and continued moving in a bus. The people on the road side were feeling disappointed.
The traffic was jammed for more than an hour on Ferozepur-Fazilka road. One of the auto-driver, who had been engaged for the road show, was on the road since morning at a very meager amount without taking any food.
Overall, it was a good show of strength and workers were seen in a enthusiasm mood to give a tough fight for the coming Assembly elections due in 2017.
