Railway applies break to 18 trains due to foggy weather conditions

Ferozepur, December 2, 2015: Bullet Trains still looks to be a dream in India as the first two days have exposed the working of the railways with the cancellation of 18 trains due to foggy weathers.

As per the information, number of trains are running late despite the use of crackers for movement of trains due to uncertain weather conditions.

In Ferozepur Division, 11 passenger trains have been cancelled besides 3 seven trains have been decided to be withdrawn temporarily for about one and a half month.

The only excuse with the railways for late running of trains is due to fog.

Presently, the railway has no such technique through which the driver could see at a distance in uncertain weather conditions.

Anuj Parkash, DRM and Naresh Kumar Verma, Senior Div Security Officer informed to deal with the thick fog, instructions with regard to VTO at Fog Signal Posts have been issued besides regular patrolling on the railway track points.

DRM said, the crackers are also being made available in the fog affected areas.

It may be added during the last year, 1128 trains – 498 Mail and 630 Express – had run late in the history of Ferozepur Rail Division.
