Ferozepur, August 23, 2016:  The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) – Connecting India – the largest mobile and landline network has introduced various landline telephone schemes including the Experience LL 49, to popularize landline services and promote landline usage.

The efforts of BSNL in providing reliable and economical telephone services up to even the remotest place in the country, are being  recognized by the highest authority, as it finds a mention in the speech of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi from Historic Red Fort on 70th Independence Day celebrations.

Addressing the media persons,  Arun K. Dubey, General Manager, BSNL Ferozepur Circle said,  BSNL has taken various first of its kind initiatives country wide starting last year by introducing nigh fee calling – 9 pm to 7 am from BSNL landline to network of any operator and free pan India roaming on BSNL mobile.  Treading on the same lines, starting from 70th Independence Day BSNL has now extended free calling on Sundays for 24 hrs.

Jit Singh, Deputy General Manager and Krishan Kumar, DGM and Harmesh Sethi, DET were also present on this occasion.

For giving an experience of our services to the new customers, BSNL has introduced an initiative under “EXPERIENCE LL 49”, a promotional offer in which new customers can avail BSNL landline services at very nominal rental of Rs.49 per month only.  Under this scheme, fixed month charges of Rs.49 will be charged for first six months.  After expiry of six months period, the customer will be charged as per the Fixed Monthly Charges of General Plan in respective area, he added.  In addition free SIM along with the new connection is also available, he further added.

General Manager, said, To provide better internet services, Fair Usage Policy (FUP) limit of various broadband plans has almost been doubled and minimum speed afer FUP for all Broadband plans has been increased from 512 Kbps to 1 Mbps. BSNL has also been providing mobile data at most economical rates.

Stating about another scheme for the students, he said, BSNL has also launched special CUG mobile plan for students, offering CUG facility @ Rs.145 pm along with 1 GB free data.

Besides, the landline scheme with rental of Rs.495 and Rs.645 has also been made available for the landline users which includes the facility of calling unlimited to any network which was earlier covered under Rs.149 Plan.

GM said, there are around 60,000 landline phones  and 6 lacs mobile connection operational in the circle.

To further improve the network, he said, while existing towers are being upgraded, new towers are also under process for installation barring few army areas where the permission is not granted from security point of view.
