BSF recovers heroin worth Rs.5 crore

Ferozepur, April 12, 2017:  Border Security Force 77 Bn recovered one Kg heroin in Mehndipur border area post.

Giving this information, DS Rana, Second-in-command, PRO Border Security Force, Punjab Frontier said, on getting a tip-off of receipt of heroin consignment at BOP Mehndipur area,  the security in the area was beefed up to keep an eye on the movement of the people.

He said, on the last Tuesday-Wednesday night some movement was observed on the border and on searching in the morning, 1 kg heroin was recovered which has around Rs.5 crore value in the international market.
