BSF recovers heroin from Indo-Pak border near BOP Maboke
Feroepur, October 26, 2019: On 26 October 2019, alert Border Security Force troops seized 05 packet of contraband (Weight approx- 5.125 kg) suspected to be Heroin in the area of responsibility of Border Out Post- Maboke, Ex- 29 Bn BSF, Ferozepur Sector.
On 26 Oct 2019 during night hours, vigilant BSF troops of Border Out Post Maboke, Ex- 29 Bn BSF, noticed some suspicious movement ahead of Border Security Fence and got alerted. Instantly, Border Security Force troops challenged the suspected smugglers to stop their misadventure but smugglers managed to escape taking advantage of darkness and fully grown paddy crops. Later, during search 05 packets of contraband (weight approx.-5.125 kg) suspected to be heroin recovered from the spot.
The enhanced vigil of BSF has once again thwarted the attempt of Anti-National Elements to push the consignment of contraband items into India. During the year 2019, BSF has affected under mentioned seizures on Punjab Border. Heroin : 191.413 Kgs (including today’s Seizure of approx. 5.125 kgs) Opium : 366 Gms Indian border crosser apprehended : 69 Nos Indian smugglers apprehended : 10 Nos Weapons (Different Types) : 10 Nos Ammunition (Various Calibers) : 455 Rds Indian SIM Cards : 17 Nos PAK SIM Cards : 15 Nos Indian Mobile Phone : 17 Nos
