BKU(Krantikari) protested against the dilly-dallying attitude of Pb Govt towards farmers’ demands
Ferozepur, July 25, 2016: The Punjab Government is adopting the dilly-dallying attitude towards the demands of the farmers and waiving off the heavy loans of the capitalists, with the result the farmers are being compelled to commit suicides.
Baldev Singh Zira, Gyan Singh Shahwala, Avtar Singh Pheroke, Gurmit Singh Mehma, Balraj Singh, Ekta Dakonda Farmer leader Harnek Singh Mehma and Daljit Singh Karhma shared these words while addressing the protesters in front of the office of Deputy Commissioner today morning and shouted anti-government slogans.
Highlighting the demands of the farmers, the leaders said, the government and non-government waive off all loans due towards farmers, give compensation and jobs on priority to the families of those farmers and labourers, who have committed suicides since 1990 and free them from control of government.
They demanded that procurement by government should be continued; make arrangements for unemployed boys and girls and give ownership rights to settlers.
