Bhatinda Cycle Group organizes Cycle Rally up to Hussainiwala
Ferozepur, March 29,2015 : Bhatinda Cycle Group organized Cycle Rally from Bhtinda to Hussainiwala –the land of martyrs, with a motive to create awareness among people about the importance of driving cycle taking the motto – “Drive Cycle-Make Health, Save Money-Reduce Pollution”, under the tutelage of Dr.Amrit Sethi.
The Rally was welcomed by the citizens and later the members of the BCG also paid floral tributes at the Martyrs’ Memorial.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr.Sethi said, there are total 100 members in the BCG and they move on every Saturday around Bhatinda from 30 to 40 KMs to create awareness among the people about the importance of driving cycle. He said, the BCG initially started with 8 members and now with 100 members have completed 93 weeks.
Sethi said, the BCG has linked the driving of cycle with health and pollution and given the motto as – “Drive Cycle-Make Health, Save Money-Reduce Pollution”.
He said, we motivate the people to adopt the habit of cycle driving at every place of our visit and have visited Muktsar, Damdama Sahib, Bhai Rupa, Mysar Khana Mandi Bhatinda, Malout and today at Hussainiwala – the land of martyrs.
Present among others were Pritam Singh Vardi, Sharan Pal Singh, Ajay Goyal, Charanjit Singh, Deputy Jain and Preet Mohinder Singh Secretary.
