Assistant in DC office booked for fake renewing arms licences in connivance with Arms Dealers

Ferozepur, March 15: An Assistant in the office of Deputy Commissioner has been booked for allegedly making fake entries for renewing arms licences in connivance with arms dealers.

A case had been registered against Manoj Kumar who was earlier posted at the Arms Licence branch. The police had also booked arms dealers Rakesh Chander of Nanda Gun House, Shivinder Vohra of Vohra Gun House and Anil Sethi of Abohar Armoury.  However, no arrest had been made so far.

According to DSP Balwinder Singh Sekhon,  the Assistant Manoj Kumar had links with  arms dealers. He used to  make fake entries for renewal of arms licences besides all-India permit entries without completing the required formalities.
